Being the first and only Tier 9 USN tech tree Battleship, the “hybrid” model thought process Wargaming had has been proven to be outdated since the game’s beta in 2014-2015.Īdditions to the US Navy tech tree will shed some light on the subject. However, Iowa has one of the oldest models in the game which hasn’t been updated (except for the quad Bofors on Turret 3) since the game released. With the errors involving Missouri cleared up, it still perplexes me that the Iowa’s model is still missing the anti-aircraft turrets on Turret 2, whether it’d be Iowa’s unique set of three 20mm Oerlikons or the more common single set of a single 40mm quad Bofors shared by the other three of the Iowa-classes.Īs stated in my previous entry, I understand that Wargaming made a “hybrid” model of the Iowa which combines attributes from all four existing ships. It would have been a neat detail for the Missouri in-game to have the aircraft crane turned around and jutting over the stern to make room for helicopters as shown in the photos, although it would look less neat and tidy.
